upchucky 2008-02-25	Softail » Knock on starting Just bought this FLSTC. It has a loud knock during the tail end of the start sequence. I hit the starter and as it fires there is a loud knock from the engine as it fires and I release the button. Almost as though the engine is firing at the very top of the compression stroke instead of on one side of it and pressing the piston rod against the crank. Either that or its maybe coming from the starting assembly. Any ideas? Engine seems to run fine otherwise.

upchucky 2008-02-25	Softail » Need help replacing grips instructions are inside the grips. glue is inside the other grip. take your time. The instructions don't mention the spacer you need to place in the brake handle gap. a folded match book cover will do it. spueeze the handle and place it in the gap created. Slice the left grip lengthwise with a knife. It peels right off.
