1000cc sporty motor

I was wondering if the 1000cc sporty motor was any good.  I've heard from others that its terrible, but I wanted to see if others agree.

A big problem with the ironhead sporty motor is the high-dome pistons.   Overall, they're still an OK engine, for the era. Of course, Harley Davidson engines now are so much better.  That's just my opinion.  You may want to talk to a mechanic to get their advice.

people who say sportster is terrible never had one that ran right. The 900cc and 1000cc bikes were too fast for the big twin riders. Rudy
