Well hell I can relate to these posts..I am 48 not a newby by any means and have had 38 years to find out how to ride..LOL I keep thinking I will get er done.. Had a bad wreck in 89 had to ride before I was off crutches or knew I would never straddle another.. As far as the new breed (yuppies) I call them hell they like to go fast and be sooo cool. I have never rode with any gang or even a group either....However I get my kids together and we have a gang..I have 7 that ride and we are quite a group... I am also looking for a rigid frame for a 53 pan...Any info would be appreciated...RIDE SAFE RIDE HARD ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE.......OLD HIPPY

been hearing a lot of comments as of late about what is a biker, some are comical , some are just plain stupid, and some would piss off the pope so i thought i would add my 2 cents worth. now ive been riding for some 50 yrs , my choice of bike is harleybut thats not to say that , that is all there is years ago we (harley riders ) used to call bkes like yamaha, honda and most all jap bikes junk . well that was then this is now and they have evolved , there making some damn nice bikes . and the biker well the same apllys they have evolved , now i no the new breed of biker can be a pain in the ass but all of needs to remember that we all had to learn. and most of the bad habbits such as the way they ride came from none other then harley and there insurance company and the new guys and gals just dont no any better and all they have to go buy is harley cause nobody takes the time to talk to them. well we all of us old timers need to cut them some slack , we all have one thing in common, we ride bikes and we ride because we like it and we all had to learn. personally i dont have a problem with most cause i never joined clubs or ganges i figure i can get in enough trouble on my own, bout the only thing i take issue with is the way they were tAUGHT TO RIDE ,stagered formation what kind of crap is that, if i have to keep looking for you i cant ride with you, but that is what they are taught by none other then harleyin all there infinate wisdom o and dont forget the insurance companys and they now a lot about right , yesh most have never even sat on a bike . cut them some slack and take the time to teACH THEM THE RIGHT WAY. and to those that dont agree, when is the last time youve seen a pro team of riders riding staggered formation, it is dangerous and it will get you hurt. all of you ride safe and and have a great ride . and if i can help anyone along the way drop me a line i always have the time .---jim (saddletramp@cfl.rr.com) |
