I recently got a letter explaining there is a recall for helmets from the Advanced Carbon Composites Inc. (ACC) that manufactures helmets for motorcycle riders. It says in the letter that the helmet failed the penetration test required from the Department of Transportation. The company has designed their helmet with a new foam liner material that is supposed to pass the penetration test. Unfortunately there have been accidents with people using this helmet and some have gotten seriously injured as a result. When I read this, I wanted to throw my helmet in the wastebasket right away. Has anyone else gotten a letter from this company?
